LexiDay — Privacy Policy

The short version

LexiDay does not collect, store, or transmit your data. Everything runs on your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.

What LexiDay reads, and why

To detect when you use your daily vocabulary word and to flag spelling/grammar slips, LexiDay's content script observes text you type into web page text fields. This text is compared, in memory on your device, against a word list bundled inside the extension. It is never written to disk, never logged, and never sent anywhere.

What LexiDay stores

Your score, streaks, which days you used your word, quiz results, and settings are kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your device only. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.

The one optional exception: LanguageTool

LexiDay includes an optional grammar engine powered by the LanguageTool public API. It is off by default. If you enable it in Settings, the sentence being checked is sent to api.languagetool.org for analysis and the result is discarded after display. The toggle in Settings states this plainly. LanguageTool's own privacy policy applies to that processing: languagetool.org/legal/privacy. Turn the toggle off and no network requests are made at all.

Data sharing and sale

LexiDay collects nothing, so there is nothing to share or sell. No data is transferred to third parties, used for advertising, or used for any purpose beyond the extension's single purpose of vocabulary building and writing assistance.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this same address with an updated effective date.
